The 15th Anniversary 2010 "Victorious Living Women’s Conference: Healthy Mind, Body and Spirit" is all about YOU! This conference has been designed to encourage, educate, inspire and challenge women from all walks of life to have a better sense of well being to promote a healthier lifestyle physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. The health of women is not only important to her, but plays an integral part in her family and community. With health-related challenges in the rise, we must dedicate ourselves to raising the awareness and education of women on the importance of achieving total well being. W.I.T.N.E.S.S. Book Club is excited to proclaim that this year’s conference plans to do exactly that!
Author and entrepreneur, Sharon Norris Elliott will be the Mistress of Ceremonies, Saxophonist, Ron Brown will be the musical guest and the luncheon keynote speaker will be Wendy Gladney, motivational speaker, philanthropist, author and founder of Forgiving for Living, Inc. and Personal Services Plus. The program will consist of two panel discussions by distinguished health professionals on primary prevention and treatment strategies for diseases that primarily affect women. The panel topics are: “Mastering Your Mind and Body, Empowering Your Future” and “Saving Our Sisters, Taking Care of Ourselves First.”
The health professionals include Kari Williams, (hair and scalp expert), Noelle Reid, M.D. (Diabetes), Marcia Glenn (Dermatologist), Lisa Bolden, Psy. D (Psychological Wellness), Pastor Althea Sims (Self Development), Dale Hill (Health & Wellness Specialist), Emmanuel Mba, M.D. (Fertility Specialist), LaTanya Hines, M.D. (OB/GYN ~ Menopause Expert), Eric McGary, M.D. (Oncologist) and Christina Economides, M.D. (Cardiologist).
Image Award and Golden Globe winning actress and author, Angela Bassett will be honored at this year's 15th Anniversary Women's Conference. Ms. Bassett who is world-renowned for her film roles portraying prominent African-American women such as Rosa Parks, and Tina Turner will be recognized for being a role model in health and fitness. Denise Roberts, founder of "The Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation" and 20 year breast cancer survivor and Pastor Althea Sims, founder of "For The Kingdom Ministries", will also be honored.
